After a three-year hiatus from acting, Sonam Kapoor is all set to make her much-awaited comeback with the upcoming film Blind. The actress, who recently became a mother to a baby boy named Vayu in August last year, shared the first look of the film on social media, creating buzz among her fans and followers.
The first still of the film shows Kapoor in a menacing avatar, holding a gun and seemingly taking aim. Dressed in an all-black outfit, her hair neatly tied in a bun, she exudes confidence and determination.
In another film, Kapoor’s intense gaze conveys a feeling of anger towards someone or something, making the audience curious about his character in the movie. The latter still shows him shivering, with a body lying in the background, adding to the mystery and suspense of the story.
Blind’s director, Shom Makhija, shared the stills on his Instagram handle and wrote, “A glimpse into the world of #BLIND.”
The Veere Di Wedding actress plays a visually impaired police officer on a mission to track down a serial killer. Joining Kapoor in the movie are talented actors Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillet Dubey, adding depth and variety to the cast. Set in Glasgow, Scotland, and other locations, the film promises to be an engaging thriller that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
Blind is a remake of the 2011 Korean film of the same name, known for its intense narrative and thrilling plot. With Kapoor in the lead, the Indian adaptation is expected to be an interesting watch combining suspense, action, and drama elements.
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja exchanged vows in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony in 2018. Last year, they gave birth to a son named Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, after which the actress took a break from acting. Sonam and her son have been in India ever since, while Anand moved to their London home.
