How many of you are aware that Megastar Chiranjeevi’s dream film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, was originally going to include Malayalam star hero Prithviraj Sukumaran? While promoting The Goat Life in Telugu, the multifaceted actor disclosed a few fascinating details.
“In 2017 or 2018, Chiranjeevi sir contacted me through Mani Rathnam sir’s wife, Suhasini Mam, to be a part of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy,” Prithviraj Sukumaran stated. I was incredibly honoured that Chiru Sir had given me a major role to consider for his movie; it was like getting a hefty diploma. Prithviraj Sukumaran went on, “After that, I turned into a director and made one successful movie.” The Telugu rights to it were purchased by Chiranjeevi sir (Lucifer). I was the main guest at the Sye Raa event in Kerala. I was approached to direct Lucifer in Telugu by Chiru sir’s crew. I informed Chiru sir that although I would have loved to direct the Telugu version, I would have to focus on The Goat Life at this time. Although I don’t think I mentioned the same thing four years ago, Chiranjeevi sir clearly remembered (laughs). Chiranjeevi, sir, has such a lovely disposition. He and Ram Charan both message me occasionally. I hope to collaborate with him at some point in the future.
