Christopher Nolan’s first Oscar win is on the way
Kai Bird and Martin J. Based on Sherwin’s biography of American Prometheus, Nolan transports the audience to the World War II era in the most immersive way possible.
Nolan changed the entire definition of how a biopic should be made. And this was his first biopic. To me, at least, Oppenheimer is a bit of an amalgamation of Nolan’s earlier works, with an emphasis on realism, non-chronological plots, and nuanced and accurate characters.
The filmmaker recreated the fiery explosion scenes without using CGI or VFX in the film – which only proves his mastery of filmmaking and imagination.
From the story, music score, acting, and editing, Nolan perfectly balances everything in the movie, giving a sense of satisfaction that makes this movie a cinematic masterpiece and a major contender for Best Picture at the Oscars 2024.
