In order to “inspect and ensure” that the Model S and Model X vehicles have properly functioning front-row seat belts, the manufacturer has issued a voluntary recall for almost 16,000 Model S and Model X vehicles from 2021 to 2023. Tesla has recalled thousands of electric cars: electric car models
The business subsequently recalled 2,649 Tesla Model S cars manufactured in China between October 14, 2015, and August 23, 2020, at its Fremont, California, plant. The front trunk, or frunk, latch lock issue that can enable the front lid to pop open while driving gave rise to the safety recall, which was announced in March. The front trunk lid could pop out while driving, obstructing forward view, posing a safety hazard.
The Model S recall came after a similar recall on December 31, 2021, in which Tesla recalled 19,697 Model S vehicles produced in China between January 21, 2015, and November 18, 2020.
On instructions from Chinese regulators, the business recalled roughly 1.1 million vehicles in May, whose manufacture dates ranged from January 12, 2019, to April 24, 2023. The recall was due to a software upgrade that allowed for modifications to braking procedures and added warnings regarding the use of accelerator pedals. Several imported Model S, Model X, Model 3 and domestically built Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, according to regulators, were ordered to be recalled.

According to the July 14 Safety Recall Report from the National Traffic Safety Administration, 1,337 Tesla Model S, Model X, and Model Y electric vehicles are currently subject to recalls.
