On its fourth day of release, Crew did not let the audience down at the box office. Following a strong first weekend, the comedy-heist movie starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon met the important Monday test and proved it had gained acceptance, which will help it sail through the upcoming weeks. Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that Crew made Rs 4.50 cr in revenue on day four.
These Monday figures follow a strong weekend in which the film surprised the trade with an opening of Rs 10.28 cr net, helped in part by the Good Friday holiday. The crew performed even better over the next two days, netting India at Rs 10.87 cr on Saturday and Rs 11.45 cr on Sunday. Crew’s domestic total as of Monday is more than Rs 36 cr.
Even outside its own country, the movie is doing well. The crew has earned $2.8 million (Rs 23 crore) up to the weekend, bringing its total opening weekend revenue to Rs 62 crore worldwide. The amount is probably going to surpass Rs 70 cr with Monday’s revenues.
Crew Box Office Collection:
Given that there aren’t any fresh releases scheduled for this Friday, Crew is predicted to have a great opening week at the box office and a stronger second weekend. Aadujeevitham, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire are the other two films that are performing well at the box office. The crew will have free reign until the two major Eid films, Maidaan (starring Ajay Devgn) and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff).
As of right now, Crew’s lifespan is probably going to expire somewhere between Rs 70 and Rs 80 cr. A Pinkvilla article claims that the movie has a Rs 75 crore budget, with an additional Rs 15 crore going towards publicity and advertising, for a total expenditure of Rs 90 crore.
Crew, which is directed by Rajesh Krishnan and features Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma in special roles, is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor.
