Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan underwent an angioplasty at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. He was reportedly admitted on Friday morning. An official statement has yet to be released by the hospital and the family.

Following the news of his hospitalization, Bachchan expressed his gratitude through a post on his official social media account. The message read, “T 4950 – Regards ..”. The actor shared a video of himself and his son Abhishek Bachchan while participating in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL). The video shows that their team has qualified for the finals.
This is Bachchan’s second surgery this year. He underwent surgery for a wrist injury during the shooting of “Kalki 2898 AD“ in Hyderabad last year. The actor also strained his rib cartilage and sustained a torn muscle, which prevented him from attending San Diego Comic-Con to promote the movie.
On the professional front, Bachchan is gearing up for the release of “Kalki 2898 AD”, in which he co-stars alongside Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. The movie is scheduled to release on May 9. Also, he will be seen in the upcoming film “Section 84”.

Amitabh Bachchan Health Update
Amitabh fell ill on Friday and was hospitalized at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute in Mumbai. The portal claimed that he underwent an angioplasty for his heart. He was attending the event and felt unwell, so he was rushed to the hospital for a general checkup when doctors advised him to undergo an operation, according to the portal. The actor is said to be feeling better now.
